Entertaining Sony Ericsson Ads

entertaining-sony-ericsson-ads

Here is a semi-entertaining ad released by Sony Ericsson. They are advertising the new Xperia X10 and how easy it is to use in comparison to the Galaxy Vibrant, and the iPhone 4. Apparently the theme was “so easy that a dumb blonde could do it”. I like Geico’s cavemen better but this is still worth watching.

And now here is another clip of it but with Guidos using these phones.

Movie: The Good, The Bad, The Weird

movie-the-good-the-bad-the-weird

I’m a huge fan of western style movies. Some of them have absolutely awesome storylines, especially older westerns. This isn’t to say that there aren’t loads of generic, boring westerns out there, but there are some that really should be seen since they take all the good stuff and mix it with even more good, yet innovative stuff. The movie The Good, The Bad, The Weird is a PERFECT example. As you may be able to tell, I’ve just recently watched it, which is why I’m writing about it.

So it’s a Korean western, which sounds weird since Korea isn’t a place that produces many movies in such a genre. However, they do so FLAWLESSLY and make the entire movie such a thrill to watch even for someone who isn’t a fan of Westerns. There is nonstop action, cool effects, nice stunts, a great storyline, and even comedy that actually can get you chuckling. You’ll need to watch the movie with subtitles, however, as no English dubbing is available, nor should it be, as that would take away from the movie. The director, as well as the writer of this movie, is Ji-woon Kim, and he really did a fantastic job. This movie earns 5 out of 5 stars in my book! Check out the stream of the movie trailer below–

Note: This movie is also called Joheunnom nabbeunnom isanghannom

Brief Plot Summary:
The story of three Korean outlaws in 1940s Manchuria and their rivalry to possess a treasure map while being pursued by the Japanese army and Chinese bandits.

  • Byung-hun Lee – Park Chang-yi (The Bad)

Google Chrome 7 To Be 60 Times Faster – Firefox 4 Increases Speed Too

New GPU acceleration that will be available for Google Chrome 7 helps the browser become 60 times faster than Chrome 6, as reported by Google.

“This system picks the best graphics API to use on each OS that Chromium supports: Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS and Linux,” — James Robinson & Gregg Tavares, Chromium Blog

This will assist in not only 2D graphics, but 3D graphics as well. An example video of Google Chrome 7 can be seen below. While it doesn’t look particularly impressive, it certainly is assisting in helping the aquarium demo run at its maximum potential in FPS (frames per second). A stable build of Google Chrome will be available this fall, however the developer’s build is already available.

“We’re excited to give developers fast 2D graphics, but we think truly hardware accelerating graphics on the Web means giving developers access to a programmable 3D graphics pipeline with WebGL. With WebGL and 3D CSS, developers can create modern games, impressive photo galleries, 3D data visualizations, virtual environments, and whatever else they can dream up.”

Funny Video: Robot Chicken – 300 – America VS England Version

I lol’ed at this. Robot Chicken did a great 300 video. Instead of Spartans VS Persians though, it’s America VS England (1776 style!). One of the funny parts to me — “Tonight…We shall dine in VIRGINIA!” 🙂 Oh Robot Chicken, how hilarious you are.

Edit: If it’s regionally blocked for you, try the YOUTUBE VERSON HERE. Hopefully that’ll play for you 🙂
