A Look at the NVIDIA Kepler GTX 680

It’s that time again. The time where computer hardware advances even further to bring a brand new wave of extreme video cards. The latest? The Kepler GTX 680 by NVIDIA, which will sport a price tag of around $500 using the GK104 architecture.

The card is 10 inches in length so it is big in size, but not the biggest graphics card out there.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 is compatible with HDMI 1.4a and supports up to a 4-way SLI for a very intense configuration and is rated up to 195w.



ATI Catalyst 10.2 Download and Release Notes

ATI has released version 10.2 of ATI Catalyst. You can download ATI Catalyst 10.2 drivers here. You may view the ATI Catalyst 10.2 Driver changes list/release notes here.

There are many changes in this build so I suggest that you upgrade to it.

ATI Catalyst 10.2 Improvements include:

    DiRT 2 – Overall performance improves up to 8% on ATI Radeon™ HD 5970, ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 series, and ATI Radeon™ HD 5700 series products
    Battleforge – CrossFire ATI Radeon™ HD 5870 performance improves up to 6%
    Unigine Heaven – DirectX 9 CrossFire performance has improved significantly on ATI Radeon™ HD 5700 and ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 series products
    The Chronicles of Riddick – Assault on Dark Athena – Overall performance on ATI Radeon™ HD 5970 improves up to 4%

Was looking at some video cards, and I’m sure this card isn’t so expensive, however take a look while this Amazon goof-up is still up there for a chuckle?
