Video: Ape Shooting With AK-47 in West Africa

video-ape-shooting-with-ak-47-in-west-africa

Apes, gorillas, and monkeys are definitely some of the most intelligent animals in the world. These soldiers in Africa thought it would be a good idea to give an ape a gun — a nice, automatic AK47. Bad idea! Whether or not this video is actually fake, I do not know. But it’s still entertaining! Maybe soldiers will be replaced by monkeys some day 😉

Funny: FPSRussia and Pepper Spray

Funny video from FPSRussia, perhaps known for his earlier works in Call of Duty multiplayer domination, but especially famous now (videos released in the past two-three months have been consistently over 1 million views) for his extensive collection of guns and showy displays of their power. Enjoy as he pepper sprays himself for this video before he shoots anything. o_o

Beretta 92FS Elite II Co2 Review

beretta-92fs-elite-ii-co2-review

Author: Foose
Editor: Naota
Product: Baretta 92 FS Elite II (Co2)
Price: $48.95(Price may vary)
Date: 06/11/2010
Rating: 8.9/10

This here is Enki’s gun that he wanted me to review for him.  Fine piece of work right here.

SUMMARY: This detailed gun matches the C11 with 480 feet per second firepower.  Although they both share the same firing mechanisms, they do share some flaws, mainly with the clip.  Sometimes when I was feeding a clip in, the magazine spewed BB’s everywhere.  It’s pretty accurate, competing with the C11, and the 357W.  I found the gun very enjoyable, however the top was heavy in comparison to the handle so the front drooped down a lot.   The safety is an easy push-and-slide mechanism with the index finger.  To change the Co2, slide back the handle, exposing the co2 chamber and the screw to tighten/loosen.

SPECS:
Velocity:  480 ft/sec
Magazine size:  18
Ordinance:  .177 Caliber BBs only
Power:  12 gram Co2
Customizable:  Yes
Attachments:  Laser

ACCURACY:  (Tested by Foose on a 4″ target with 10 shots)
5 Meters – 60%
10 meters – 20%

Best Power:  First 25 shots from a fresh Co2
Best Accuracy:  26 – 50 shots into a fresh Co2
Average:  50 – 85 shots into a fresh Co2
Weak Sauce:  86+ into a fresh Co2

REVIEW/RATING:

This gun is pretty fun.  As I said earlier, it has the same firing mechanisms as the C11, so it sports both power and accuracy.  However due to the heavier build on top, the accuracy slightly suffers, since there’s little recoil to counter the downward droop.  Also, there were times on occasion when the clip ejected the rounds when I tried loading.  Nevertheless, this gun earns a 8.9 / 10.

Quick review of the Guns

quick-review-of-the-guns

So, I made a few reviews, but for a quick and dirty rundown of them, here is a quick compilation (with links)  of the data:

POWER:  (Feet per second)
1 – Baretta 92FS and Crosman C11 @ 480
2 – Crosman 357W @ 435 – 455
3 – Walther P99 @ 345
Summary:  Just watch where you point these things, the Baretta and C11 can put a nice hole in your belly.

ACCURACY:  (5 and 10  meters at a 4″ target, 10 shots)
1 – Crosman C11 (80% @ 5m, 40% @ 10m)
2 – Crosman 357W (70% @ 5m, 40% @ 10m)
3 – Baretta 92FS  (60% @ 5m, 20% @ 10m)
4 – Walther P99  (50% @ 5m, 20% @ 10m)
Summary:  If Naota and I can shoot the space in the middle of a CD, then there’s no doubt of the C11’s accuracy

REALISM:  (Functions, mechanism, detail)
1 – Walther P99
2 – Crosman 357W
3 – Baretta 92FS
4 – Crosman C11
Summary:  Yeah, the Walther lacks a lot, but you can’t deny the blow back and the realistic mechanisms of the gun are badass.

RATE OF FIRE: (How fast a 10 shot clip is emptied)
1 – Walther P99 @ 2.319 sec
2 – Crosman C11 @ 3.376 sec
3 – Baretta 92FS @ 3.569 sec
4- Crosman 357W @ 3.876 sec
Summary:  The P99 has the smoothest trigger pull out of all of them, dominating the rate of fire.  Both the Baretta and the C11 seem to share the same trigger/loading mechanisms because I found that you needed some effort to pull the trigger.  The 357W of course needed the most because it was cocking the hammer and firing at the same time.
