Steam Hacked / Defaced
Last Updated on Wednesday, 16 November 2011 06:06 Written by DarkKnightH20 Thursday, 10 November 2011 08:57
“Dear Steam Users and Steam Forum Users:
Our Steam forums were defaced on the evening of Sunday, November 6. We began investigating and found that the intrusion goes beyond the Steam forums.
We learned that intruders obtained access to a Steam database in addition to the forums. This database contained information including user names, hashed and salted passwords, game purchases, email addresses, billing addresses and encrypted credit card information. We do not have evidence that encrypted credit card numbers or personally identifying information were taken by the intruders, or that the protection on credit card numbers or passwords was cracked. We are still investigating.
We don’t have evidence of credit card misuse at this time. Nonetheless you should watch your credit card activity and statements closely.
While we only know of a few forum accounts that have been compromised, all forum users will be required to change their passwords the next time they login. If you have used your Steam forum password on other accounts you should change those passwords as well.
We do not know of any compromised Steam accounts, so we are not planning to force a change of Steam account passwords (which are separate from forum passwords). However, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to change that as well, especially if it is the same as your Steam forum account password.
We will reopen the forums as soon as we can.
I am truly sorry this happened, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
Gabe.”

Game Fuel
Last Updated on Wednesday, 9 November 2011 04:53 Written by Naota Thursday, 10 November 2011 12:00
Here at Geek Montage we have a drink of choice. That drink is Game Fuel by Mountain Dew. It is the drink of all of Geek Montage and Skyline Media. Unfortunately it is a very limited edition too.
Don’t know what Game Fuel is? Check out the Urban Dictionary definition of Game Fuel:
Definition
a flavor of mountain dew that increases halo and gaming skillage tremendously. game fuel is a strong central nervous system stimulant. studies show decreased reaction time and increased accuracy in gamers who take game fuel. game fuel withdrawal is known for its unpleasant mental, physical and emotional effects, ranging from paranoia, sweaty palms, hallucinations, seizures, coma, and even death… the kind that lasts forever. the federal government is considering scheduling mountain dew game fuel because of its high abuse potential. there are many support groups available for those who are addicted to game fuel, most notably game fuel anonymous.Game Fuel used in a sentence:
my best friend and uncle both overdosed on game fuel and died. forever.
it may seem glamorous at first, drinking game fuel and having fun with your friends playing halo, but eventually your spiral into addiction and you end up just sitting by yourself in your bedroom taking game fuel and playing halo three all by yourself. its the wrong path to go down, dont do it.
See? It’s some great stuff. And guess what? It’s almost sold out!! Go find some and give it to us… were not addicted… honestly!

Best Free Indie Game: Exit Fate
Last Updated on Monday, 7 November 2011 12:40 Written by DarkKnightH20 Monday, 7 November 2011 12:40
This post is long over-due. Recently, many of us decided to try out the infamous indi/independent, SCF-developed game Exit Fate. This game…rocks!
Anyone who is a fan of the Suikoden RPG series will instantly fall in love with it. Those who aren’t will like it too. The graphics are great. The audio/sound is taken from a multitude of other RPG games, such as the Final Fantasy series.
This game is full of extras, has an amazing storyline, and loads of recruitable characters. It took me around 50 hours to beat the game in its entirety. It took me another 10 hours to get over the fact I just beat an awesome game and will have nothing worth playing next! The game was made in RPG Maker, though from all the amazing work involved, you would not be able to tell.
My review of this game ends here… 10/10. Perfection. Play the RPG Exit Fate. You will not be disappointed!

Soulcalibur V: That Other Assassin
Last Updated on Thursday, 27 October 2011 09:40 Written by servbot_kill Wednesday, 26 October 2011 04:42
Continuing Namco’s tradition of putting in random characters from other universes in their Soulcalibur games, this iteration’s guest will be none other than Ezio Auditore da Firenze of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series. Considering the last entry saw Star Wars characters and stages shoehorned into the otherwise medieval/industrial revolution-era fantasy fighter, Ezio, being from that general era, would seem to be a much better fit.
