How to Uninstall Internet Explorer 9.0 Beta (I.E 9.0b)

I noticed that many people have been having trouble un-installing Internet Explorer 9.0 Beta. This is because Internet Explorer 9.0 does not show up in the add/remove programs page. *Shakes head* bad Microsoft! Need not be afraid, here is a quick and easy way to remove it.

Directions:

  1. Press the Windows Key and type “view updates” (with no quotes) in the windows search box.
Note: Or you can press Windows Key+R and paste “C:\Windows\explorer.exe shell:::{d450a8a1-9568-45c7-9c0e-b4f9fb4537bd}” (with no quotes) and press enter.
  2. After the entire uninstall list finishes loading (this can take some time) look for “Windows Internet Explorer 9” in the list.
  3. Select Windows Internet Explorer 9 and click the uninstall button. Hit ok to confirm.
  4. Congrats you no longer have Internet Explorer 9.0. I recommend that you reboot your computer now.

I hope you enjoyed testing the beta.
