Fifa Soccer 2011 Saving Error, Crashes, Arena Mode Freezes, Fixes

Apparently the developers of Fifa Soccer 2011 let some programmer penalties fly while making this game. Not only are the errors and bugs on the PC version, but many of them haunt the console versions of Fifa Soccer 2011 as well. As of right now, a patch addresses many of these issues and is available for download for the PC only. The console patches will come out soon, but I do not have the schedule for that.

Fifa Soccer 2011 Will Crash After a Game

Many users have been pointing out this problem. We have several options that might solve it for you.

Option 1. Update to the latest patch. Recently EA Sports released patch version 1.01. This patch contains a bunch of bug fixes that should help eliminate this problem.
Option 2. Update your directX and videocard drivers to the latest versions. You can get AMD/ATI video card drivers here, and Nvidia Drivers here.

The next two options are reallyout there, although the reasoning behind option 3 could point to a data corruption problem that will be fixed if the patch above doesn’t take care of it for you.

Option 3. Many people claim that this only happens after they earn an accomplishment. Try to avoid accomplishments? Sorry this isn’t really a fix. Just a temporary fix.
Option 4. A few have said that it could be issues with your RAM, as a few users have had luck putting down their RAM to 3GB. This could be due to the fact that they had a bad stick or slot of course.

Squad changes back to previous setting

The initial game release had lots of little bugs so…
Step 1. Download and update your game to the latest patch, version 1.01 to fix this problem.

This is due to a data corruption glitch.
Step 1. Update your game to the latest patch and give it a try.
Step 2. Temporary move your data out of the game and see if the game still freezes, if not that means your data is bad. You can try playing the game with your anti-virus turned off as well as anything else that you think will corrupt the saving process.

Option 2. If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7, try running the game in compatibility mode. You can do this by right clicking the exe -> properties -> compatibility tab -> and choosing to run the game with compataiblity for windows xp.

Game Has Graphical Glitches and/or Flickering

This can be an issue with your videocard.
Step 1. As always update your game to the latest version and your drivers.
Step 2. Try minimizing your game via alt+tab and bringing it back up.
Step 3. If the graphical glitches are still there, check your video card temperatures to make sure they are not too high.
