Apple unveiled a new product called the Apple Ipad gonna be release in April 2010. Reviews claim this multimedia product is an iphone “on steroid”, as it is bigger in size and performance. The attempt of this product is continue to promote Apple’s unique operating system/product to the public and competes with Microsoft’s new Slate tablet device.
Specification:
Ipad has a 9.7inch LED display with IPS technology which allows a wider viewing angle and true colour reproduction. Thickness is the same as iphone around 0.5″ thick. weighs around 1.5lb.
Ipad is avaliable in a 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It supports Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR connectivity, Wifi 802.11n and also 3G (optional). One of the best feature is the battery life as it promise to support 10 hours of entertainment, and 1 month on standby mode.
Ipad runs on a 1GHz apple A4 customized designed processor chip (not really an expert on processor shit). Review does show the Ipad is fast, smooth and flawless in terms of day to day usage. The OS is very similar to the itouch and iphone as apps are displayed on home screen. Apple did offer a new Ipad apps call ibook which allow users to purchase/download books from internet.
Price:
Wi-Fi only (with 3G)
16GB – $499 ($629)
32GB – $599 ($729)
64GB – $699 (829)
Pros:
The large high-definition screen makes web-browsing, email, reading books/newspaper and gaming alot more easier and entertaining. The long lasting battery life and a light-thin design (compare to current laptop in the market) makes portability a non-factor allows you experience viewing photo, movies/shows wherever you go. Also, Apple-Apps are constantly being release, endless hours of fun application can be download for free.
Cons:
There are no voice calling feature and camera function which is little disappointing consider it is a multimedia tablet. The price is also a drawback simply because a iphone cost roughly the same but has more features than Ipad.

A friend of mine already owns one.
He says it sucks since, as your post says, it’s pretty much just like a gigantic iPhone (with a slightly updated OS). He has no clue why in the world they didn’t distribute it with Mac OS since it has such nice hardware.
Yeah I am really disappointed with the IPad. It SHOULD have had Mac OSX on it. It doesn’t support flash, it doesn’t do multi-tasking either.
u know, if they got smart, they would release Ipad v.2 with macOS lol, and then see overall mac sales go up.. just a thought eh
