OCZ just recently released the Agility 3. The Agility 3 is suppose to be a cheaper solid state alternative to the Vertex 3. Those of you who know about OCZ also know that their previous Agility 2 drive came with several different types of flash memory. Users had a high chance of getting a rebadged Vertex 3 at a much lower price.
So how close are the Agility 3 and the Vertex 3?

OCZ Vertex 3 Release Date
Last Updated on Tuesday, 10 May 2011 09:06 Written by Naota Wednesday, 16 March 2011 05:29
People have been asking what the OVZ Vertex 3 Release Date is.
*Update*
Is your drive freezing or crashing? Read our OCZ Vertex 3 Crashing, Freezing and Stalling Fixes here.
Still looking at getting this drive? Well you can read our OCZ Vertex 3 MAX IOPS Edition Vs Regular Edition article here to help you with your decision.
*Update 4/29/2011 10:00AM* OCZ Has released the MAX IOPS Edition of the Vertex 3 Drives. Read more about it and find out where to buy it by going to our OCZ Vertex 3 IOPS vs Regular Edition Comparison page.
*Update 4/6/2011 9:30AM* Newegg now has all three sizes – including the 480gb model. You will have to grab them before they sell out.
*Update 4/1/2011 8AM* Some people are purchasing this item at B&M Stores now. It is now showing on Newegg’s website. You can go there now to order it or use Amazon by using the links below.
*Update* The 3/23/2011 date was actually when OCZ plans on beginning the shipments to vendors. You will probably have to wait to the end of the month to get your new drives. We apologize for the confusion.
According to NCIX, the OVZ Vertex 3 will be released 3/23/2011. I look forward to buying myself a nice OCZ Vertex 3 120GB when it is released as well. Due to high user interest, we will update this page with links to purchase it at the main usual sites (Newegg, TigerDirect/CompUSA/CircuitCity, Amazon.com, etc.)
For the best price you can pre-order it now at Amazon now. The shipping date will update once Amazon receives their first batch, so it won’t be the 1 to 2 months as recorded. Additionally, if the price lowers, they will honor it. You will be locked in that price even if it raises. I recommend pre-ordering because prices may raise as a result of the Earthquake in Japan. You can donate to the Redcross to help people in Japan by going here.
I will also have a review for you, since I will be purchasing it the day it comes out so you will be able to see how the final version performs on a Sandybridge Rig. I will update this page once I confirm the release of the product. Let’s hope that OCZ didn’t pull a fast one and push it back.
