Engineers/chemists/computer scientists/mathematicians/anyone generally in the hard sciences lucky enough to catch a female colleague hot enough to rock a bikini, or anyone with a girl green-minded enough:
Made from flexible photovoltaic films, current runs from the films into an underlying mesh of conductive fiber that then channels the energy into a USB port. Most importantly, there is no charge stored in the garment, so hitting the water presents no danger of short-circuit, which isn’t even a danger given the amount of current needed to injure/kill a human being being substantially lower than that needed to charge an iPod/mobile device.
This bikini is going on limited production soon, but as a consequence, look for a steep sticker value of anywhere between $500 to $1,500.
In other news, the designer is going on his original idea of solarwear to power a small beer cooler for men. Inherent features include increased solar gain when ogling a girl in one of these solar bikinis.

What they should do is eventually create micro solar panels that can be weaved into clothes, so while you walk around you can listen to your ipod and charge it at the SAME TIME lol or charge a “rechargeable battery” separately and be able to use it later in the night when there’s no more sun 🙂
Nice setup! Although I bet it looks a bit dodgy, close up.
