I’m a huge fan of western style movies. Some of them have absolutely awesome storylines, especially older westerns. This isn’t to say that there aren’t loads of generic, boring westerns out there, but there are some that really should be seen since they take all the good stuff and mix it with even more good, yet innovative stuff. The movie The Good, The Bad, The Weird is a PERFECT example. As you may be able to tell, I’ve just recently watched it, which is why I’m writing about it.
So it’s a Korean western, which sounds weird since Korea isn’t a place that produces many movies in such a genre. However, they do so FLAWLESSLY and make the entire movie such a thrill to watch even for someone who isn’t a fan of Westerns. There is nonstop action, cool effects, nice stunts, a great storyline, and even comedy that actually can get you chuckling. You’ll need to watch the movie with subtitles, however, as no English dubbing is available, nor should it be, as that would take away from the movie. The director, as well as the writer of this movie, is Ji-woon Kim, and he really did a fantastic job. This movie earns 5 out of 5 stars in my book! Check out the stream of the movie trailer below–
