A $21 billion field of solar panels to feed China’s ever-hungrier energy grid is planned to be underway in China’s northern border province with Mongolia. To be built by US-based company First Solar (NASDAQ: FSLR), it is an investment in China’s future energy security as its economy continues to develop and it finds increasingly that fossil fuels will be insufficient for its projected growth while maintaining a livable environment.
This article just makes me more frustrated that no one in the United States can agree on a step forward in renewable energy. I honestly don’t feel like getting into the politics of it, because there are certainly political motivations behind the energy clusterfuck at the moment, but they’re messy and I’ve gotten no sleep.
