Samsung Mobile Display has announced the development of the world’s first flexible AMOLED-display with a diagonal of 6.5 inches.
Imagine the possibilities that would revolutionize the LCD displays industry…
The main advantage of AMOLED display using organic light-emitting diodes with an active matrix is their ability to dispense with the intensive background illumination required LCD-panels. It’s created using new technology and materials that do not require ultra temperatures and much cheaper process for production of new displays. They display more vivid colors and have a lower response time, coupled with a wide viewing angle. In addition, the bending radius of the area of the new generation AMOLED-display is only 1 cm, which it is five times lower than that of conventional flexible LCD-panel.
