Free Lord of the Rings Online MMORPG Beta

At FilePlanet, there is currently a promotion occurring for the MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online Beta. Sign up for it Here (also called LOTR or LOTRO). I haven’t played it myself yet, but I will say that the Lord of the Rings trilogy is pretty cool, so hopefully this will make use of that.

Trillian has decided to announce the latest version of their product, version 5.0. They were have a public beta available soon. You can find out additional information here. It seems like just a few months ago that version 4.0 came out… but whatever! If they have all the AIM features (like version 3 had ironically) for once, I may consider it. If not than that will be another one that I pass by.

All Points Bulletin, also called APB for short, is giving away free beta codes / game keys temporarily. This game has been compared to GTA (Grand Theft Auto) but with lots of people. Get you can sign up Here for a *Chance* to play the beta. If selected, you will receive an email. The recommended hardware requirements are–
• Core 2 Duo 2Ghz or equivalent
• 2GB RAM (3GB for Vista64 / Windows 7 64)
• nVidia GeForce 7800 – 256MB or equivalent
• 20GB Hard disk space
A broadband connection is also recommended so don’t apply if you use wireless 56k! Also, a gaming headset or microphone can be used in this game so if you have them use ’em.

Never heard of the game before? It’s described as “a grown-up version of ‘Mario Kart'”. It supports up to 20 people for multiplayer.
The game is set to be released May 25th and is being developed by Bizarre Creations. Have fun playing Xbox Live 😉
