You can’t make this shit up.

Yahoo recently put up a post on its blog apologizing for, of all things, a rather blatant display of desperation in attracting attention for itself by hiring girls to not just be scantily clad and dance to music on a stage– they offered lap dances to the attendees as well.

I’m just gonna let the article speak for itself. Not to mention the pictures on there of the scantily clad girls in question.

It turns out that Yahoo hired scantily clad women to spice up the event a little bit and give the guest lap dances.  They attended what Yahoo described as a “brainstorming” session, clad in bras and miniskirts.  The pictures made their way onto Flickr and soon lit up the blogosphere, prompting headlines like “Honest, honey, she was just showing me her social networking APIs.”

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a prude. However, this event was probably the wrong venue in which to attempt this kind of stunt.

There was probably just a better way of doing this or a better venue in which to conduct this.

A very, very private venue. Probably accessible only by acquiring a very expensive membership.

I’m not sounding very convincing with this, am I? I’m torn. lol
