PES 2011 Crashes after being loaded, does nothing and/or gives a black screen

This could be the result of several things so I recommend you take the following actions.
Step 1. Update your video card drivers.
Step 2. Install the latest version of the Microsoft C++ Runtime Files and DirectX
Step 3. While your at it, update to the latest version of the .Net Framework and then reboot.
Step 4. Change the resolution of the game by using the settings file. You can find this in the following location:

C:\Program Files\Konami\Pes 2011\ (Windows 32bit users)
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Konami\Pes 2011\ (Windows 64bit users)

Now go lower the settings and see if that works.

Step 5. If you think the video is crashing you, install the K-lite Codecs Pack.

Now see if it works… if it does not and you are not on Windows XP:

Step 6. Right click the exe or shortcut file, go to properties and then choose the compatability tab. Run the game with compatiability for Windows XP SP3.
