Fix Lost Planet 2 Crashes to the Desktop (C2D):

This problem is usually related to your video card drivers. You need to update them. Click here to find the latest Nvidia and AMD video card drivers by clicking on their respective names here.

LP2 “xlive.dll missing” Error Message

Games for Windows Live is required for this game. Make sure to install it. If it is installed, reinstall it as it could have been corrupted. You can also try DOWNLOADING the xlive.dll file here. The password is “https://geekmontage.com” (with no quotes). If this does not work for you we are not responsible. This file did report much success with the users with the problem.

Lost Planet 2 Can’t Update Due to 0x80072751 Error

This can be the result of some software blocking the update. To fix this problem, take the following steps:
Step 1. Log into an administrator account
Step 2. Disable your anti-virus
Step 3. Disable your firewall
Step 4. Close startup programs (users have claimed that Hamachi can cause this error.)
Step 5. Disable your spyware protection
Step 6. Run update.
Step 7. Reboot

Lost Planet 2 Performs Poorly

Step 1. Install the latest video card drivers from Nvidia and AMD . Reboot.

If performance is still bad

Step 2. Close out all unnecessary programs.
Step 3. Use DirectX 9 mode and lower the graphics settings (anti aliasing, etc.)

Lost Planet 2 Freezes and Crashes When Opened

Step 1. Update your game to the latest version.
Step 2. Update your videocard drivers.

-SLI/Crossfire Users-
If you have SLI or Crossfire, make sure to update your drivers. Also make sure to download the latest SLI Profile. Additionally if that still does not work, disable one card because this game does not support multiple cards at the moment.

LP2 “No Disc Inserted” Error Message

This error was fixed by the Lost Planet 2 PC Update. Install the update and this will fix the problem.

Lost Planet 2 Mouse Sensitivity Issues

LP2 has trouble with high DPI mouses (4000 or more.) You can fix this by altering the LP2 config.ini file by…

Step 1. Navigate to the following:

documents/Capcom/Lost Planet 2/config.ini

or wherever you installed the game.

Step 2. Open up config.ini by right clicking it and choosing “edit” or opening it with notepad.

Step 3. Change “MouseBaseSpeed” to 6.000000. Save and close. Now relaunch the game.

Lost Planet 2 Graphical Glitches and Texture Issues:

Step 1. Update your videocard drivers.
Step 2. Change the resolution.
Step 3. Try minimizing the game via alt+tab and bringing it back up.
Step 4. Turn up your fan settings as high heat can bring graphical glitches.
Step 5. If you overclocked your videocard, disable the overclock and try.

    ellyboy, you need to create an offline account. Install windows live, open the game, click create new account, scroll to the bottom of the text and there’ll be a hyperlink there.

    You won’t believe how easy it was.. I had crashes when I exited the windows live in game.. you only have to click on the page back and it will do it 🙂
