Finally new Sandybridge Motherboards are beginning to come in stock. You now have three options over at Newegg. It appears that Biostar was on the roll when it came to releasing the new revised version.
Go and check out the Revised Sandybridge Motherboards here by clicking the newegg link below.
These boards are currently on sale at $129.99 (P67) and at $104.99 (H67) with a shipping price of$7.56.
As most of you may have known, Intel reported having a problem with the previous model of these boards. The problem was in the SATA Controller. As quoted by Intel
“In some cases, the Serial-ATA (SATA) ports within the chipsets may degrade over time, potentially impacting the performance or functionality of SATA-linked devices such as hard disk drives and DVD-drives.”.
All the models were recalled, costing Intel upwards of $700 million. Wow!
Thankfully they were very prompt and the issue has now been resolved. You will not have to worry about that problem now with the new revision.
