Funny Video: Kids Try to Pull Tablecloth From Under Plates

funny-video-kids-try-to-pull-tablecloth-from-under-plates

These kids are trying to pull a table cloth out from underneath some plates without disturbing them — a common “trick” seen on TV and movies. This is attempt number 4 on their part to do so…but it goes horribly, horribly wrong 😉 Is this video staged? I do not know. One of the kids falls very weirdly though. Either way, check it out. Entitled: Michel & Sven – Der Tischdeckentrick – Teil 4

The video is staged, this was set up by a theatre group. You can translate and read more about it at http://www.stopptdieshow.de. According to the site, neither of the kids were hurt. Not only does the kid fall weird, but if you look at it frame by frame I think that television is a fake one made of cardboard, like you sometimes see on furniture on display. If it was real, it should have taken a lot more force than just a little bump from a kid to push those shelves over. The kid falling looks kind of like what you’d expect to see if someone was to faint while standing. That small of a bump shouldn’t have knocked a kid out cold like that, he hit it with his back, not his head. Any other kid in that situation would have been able to run away, not fall down (frame by frame it looks like a mix between falling and laying down). The latest episode of =3 (RayWilliamJohnson) features this video. He also states that the video is fake. Finally, trust me if the kid actually got seriously hurt and it got posted on YouTube like this you can be sure we’d see more about it in the news, especially considering the number of views.

I agree that the video looks fake, but I disagree with every part of your analysis RHOPKINS13.

    a) That TV does not look like a fake cardboard TV to me. Furthermore, how heavy the things on the shelf are is irrelevant if the shelf happens to be precariously balanced. It’s very easy to make something extremely heavy easy to knock over. In my house, for instance, there are several floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that would easily be knocked over by being run into simply because the floors are a little bit crooked near the wall.

    b) How do you know the kid didn’t panic and fall? He could have run, but that does not prove that he was faking it by not running.

    c) There are about 1,000,000,000 popular videos on the internet in which people get really hurt and you don’t see them on the news. That argument makes no sense. Especially considering the fact that this is a foreign video.

Now, I think the video is fake because the kid looks prepared to be bumped into by his brother, and it looks like he begins moving back to hit the shelf a little bit early, but all of the things that you observed could easily have happened in a real video.
